Third Eye Chakra Diseases: Vision Problems, Signs of Stress

Third eye chakra is responsible for vision problems of myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia and astigmatism; chronic headaches and all the mind games we play creating signs of stress not only in our mind but also in our body.

Eyes are rightly said to be the windows to mind. In fact, if there is a single organ in the body that sits closest to the faculty called mind, it is eyes.

So when eyes are in trouble, mind falls in their clutches as well. When eyes go myopic, mind turns myopic too. Same is the case with tension headache and migraine headaches, which mentally translate as psychological pain comprising anxiety, stress and boredom.

In my opinion, eyes are not only the windows to mind, they are the windows to brain and all its intelligence as well. That’s why the optical nerve joining the retina to the brain is a common organ to the eyes and the brain. Some people even call the retina as an estranged part of the brain!

It was the instantaneous opening of this chakra only that had initiated me settling down to research the entire discipline of chakras, taking it out of its esoteric blur that it had been kept subjected to since thousands of years ago.

As the sixth chakra opens up, all these ailments disappear on their own. This has not only been my personal experience alone with my own body and mind, but also with my trainees and patients who have always reported for their bodies and minds exactly what I experienced with mine!

The anatomy and physiology of the third eye chakra aka Ajna chakra are associated with the posturing and the functioning of the organs in skull, in structure as well as in action.

The first effect goes on the structure of the eyeballs and the working of eyes as far as eyesight is concerned.

There are two ways in which the eyeballs distort their structure and spoil their function, i.e., the eyesight.

The first way turns the eyeballs elongated, which is what the cause of myopia, i.e., the nearsightedness is. It is a direct consequence of dropping the upper jaw down as its habitual posture, covering the lower jaw with its denture from above.

But why does the upper jaw do so?

The answer to this question takes us to one of the mind body connections.

Keeping the eyebrows frowned or squeezed whether out of anger or out of anxiety does it so.

The mind affecting the body!

And if mind can affect the body, the body can affect the mind too!!

It’s rightly said that the eyes are the windows to the mind!!!

The second way turns the eyeballs flattened as opposed to elongated, which is what the basic cause of hyperopia, i.e., the farsightedness; as well as of presbyopia, i.e., the old age sight afflicting almost every single person (the one not having myopia) on earth is!

It is a direct consequence of dropping the lower jaw further down along with pulling it backward, thus placing it under the upper jaw which is already dropped down through being pulled down along with the lower jaw.

It’s a very complex distortion!

What brings it to effect?

Again, the answer to this question takes us to another of the mind body connections.

Greed, as an antithesis to fear, does it to us; though the two, the thesis and the antithesis, are in fact the two sides of the same coin!

The eyebrows get pulled down from their sides at their outer extremities.

And again, if mind can affect the body, the body can affect the mind too!!

If eyes are the windows to the mind, the mind is a window to the functioning of eyes as well!!!
